Juvenile Detention Center Ministry

The Need For Ministry In This Area
Has Never Been Greater.

Do You Have A Passion For Kids Lost In The Juvenile Justice System?

Would you like to be on the frontlines of genuinely changing the lives of kids who otherwise have no hope?

Fact: Each year nearly 50,000 teenagers are arrested for crimes throughout Kentucky. On any given day, four thousand teenagers are locked up in juvenile facilities across the state. Of all the young men and women released after they serve their time, over 80% are rearrested within three years.

Fact: Many teens held in youth development campuses across the State of Kentucky are hearing and responding to the Gospel. They are excited about their faith and desire to grow in the Lord.

Ministry: Local Northern Kentucky Churches are reaching out to significantly impact the lives of these youth by working together to share the message of Jesus Christ.

The Mentor Baptist Church Juvenile Detention Ministry offers the opportunity for you to get involved in possibly changing a life. The ministry travels to the Campbell County Juvenile Detention Center approximately every two months on Sunday morning. We are involved in rotation with several other churches. You must be at least 18 years old.

NIV Mark 4:26-4:29

26He also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.
